Camp Bestival celebrates its 15th Birthday later this month and you don’t want to miss out

It’s time to hang the streamers, slap on the face paint and lace up those dancing boots because the most anticipated family fiesta of the year is back and it’s bigger than ever! That’s right, folks, Camp Bestival is celebrating its 15th Birthday in grand style, and you’re all invited.

Picture it now: the stunning Lulworth Castle in Dorset swarming with laughter, music, and the happiest festival-goers from 27th to 30th July, 2023. What’s on the party agenda, you ask? Well, a stellar line-up headlined by the ever-dazzling Grace Jones, garage grooves from Craig David, indie serenades from The Kooks, and the feel-good party anthems from Confidence Man. Dance to the tunes of pop divas Melanie C and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, or the soulful voices of Sam Ryder and Ella Henderson. Not to mention the family fun brought to you by the iconic duo Dick & Dom, Cosmic Kids Yoga, Junior Jungle, and Mr Tumble.

Camp Bestival curators, the dynamic duo Josie & Rob da Bank, can’t wait to welcome you to the biggest birthday party this side of the English Channel. Expect a mixture of old favourites and new thrills, ranging from historical hilarities with Horrible Histories to East 17’s crackin’ Christmas party. Remember, as the da Bank’s say, “We Are Family!”

But hold onto your party hats because there’s so much more! If your little ones fancy something less loud, you can all enjoy exploring the Dingly Dell and Kids Gardens, getting lost in cardboard castles, learning new circus skills, getting creative with drum workshops, and more. For the thrill-seekers, daredevil antics await with Extreme Bike Battles and dizzying roller discos. Let’s not forget the Red Devil’s parachuting into the fray!

Because no party is complete without a spectacle, wait for the Saturday when the HMS Camp Bestival stage docks in the Magical Meadow, promising a night of epic proportions with Captain Rob da Bank and first mate Gok Wan leading the festivities. Be mesmerised by the amazing world record holding hula hoopers, Marawa’s Majorettes, and groove to the Ibiza vibes from living legend Fat Tony, and the energetic anthems of Woody Cook. To wind down the next day there’s a glorious plethora of holistic activities to relax you including cosmic cacao and crystal sound therapies, Himalayan Hatha yoga and blissful massage by Fany Bah.

To amp up the fun, we’re introducing the Animal Snap theme this year. That’s right, folks, time to show off your wild side! Dress as your favourite animal and join a safari of flamboyant flamingos, prancing peacocks, or even a family of funny ferrets. This year, the festival is teaming up with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to celebrate the natural world.

Festival goers can also look forward to enlightening activities in the Literary Institute, savour artisan street food at The Feast Collective, enjoy vintage sounds in Pig’s Big Ballroom, and get transported to another world with Caravanserai’s lineup of performances. Plus, step into tranquillity with Rob da Bank’s Sleep Retreat or the All You Need Is Love Retreat led by Trish Whelan of Soul Adventures.

Firework fans will not be disappointed at the mesmerising firework display at the end of the festival. Don’t forget to pack your chic festival outfits, sun cream, and dancing shoes because the biggest birthday party of the year is about to begin and you’ll definitely want to get involved. Get your tickets asap or prepare to suffer the unyielding wrath of FOMO.
