Diners at Jean-Georges can soak up spectacular views of Central Park and Columbus Circle while they enjoy the delicious food which subtly reflects the influence of American, Asian, and French cuisine. Jeon-Georges Vongerichten’s flagship restaurant ‘is consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars.’ As you relax in the sumptuous and contemporary surroundings, the friendly but exceptionally professional staff offer the top class service – including tableside preparations – one would expect from such a sophisticated establishment.
The restaurant offers an ever-changing range of dishes thanks to Jean-Georges’s insistence on using seasonal produce. At lunch time, a reasonably priced two-course menu is offered, while in the evening, there is a choice between a three-course fixed price menu, and two six-course tasting menus. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. The dishes are both extraordinary and delightful – a treat for the taste-buds.
Under the same roof, you will also find Nougatine at St Georges, and The Terrace at St Georges. Nougatine is ‘the more casual sister’ of the main restaurant. Guests at the lively and glamourous bar, which is popular with celebrities, can choose from Jean-Georges’s signature dishes at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If they want a change from the wonderful views of Central Park, they can watch their meal being prepared in the stunning and immaculate open kitchen. For a truly special experience, when the weather is fine, diners may chose to sit outside on the beautiful Terrace either with just a cocktail or, alternatively, they can enjoy the same choice of dishes as in Nougatine – but with the added pleasure of being surrounded by the luscious greenery of Central Park.
While dining at any of the excellent restaurants in Jean-Georges’s burgeoning, world-wide restaurant empire, the ‘jewel in the crown’ is certainly the Jean-Georges Restaurant, dining there is, to say the least, an extremely rewarding and enjoyable experience.
