Ushuaia and Blue Marlin Ibiza closing parties

Oh Halloween. That spooky time of the year when your Facebook feed is awash with photos of your school friends dressed as scantily clad zombies and random oversized children knock at your door menacingly bellowing the words “Trick or Treat” when really they just want the treat. And by treat they just mean cash.

Surprisingly, Halloween is also the time when the final closing parties take place in the fabulously scandalous isle of Ibiza – with the infamous Sankeys party taking place last weekend, much to the merriment of thousands of pleasure-seeking revellers.

The night saw world class house DJ’s Miguel Campbell, Jozef K and Kellie Allen pump out some spine-tingling dance anthems old and new to a booty shaking crowd all united by their love of good music and an unyielding desire to milk the final dregs of partydom in this sun soaked, debaucherous isle, famed for it’s never-ending, magical clubbing scene.

After such an epic night saying goodbye to a summer of fun, frolicking and general hooha, we look back at two epic Ibiza closing parties of the year. They were tried and tested by 7 Star Life editor Mitra Wicks and her fashion-savvy, business guru buddy Arrabela Drummond – renowned for her ravishing fire breathing performances at legendary pre-clubbing restaurant STK Ibiza.

This day-to-night closing party at Ushuaia was an absolute jem of a party. World-renouned house DJ’s performed on a magnificently illuminated stage surrounded by sexy dancers dressed at superheroes to a heaving mass of people beaming with  pure euphoria. A Massive VIP area at the back provided a safe sanctuary for those who preferred to watch the action without being trampled on by the sweaty masses and everyone who bought a drink went home with a special edition souvenir mug.

Ibiza’s favourite beach club played homage to soul-tantalising movement that is deep house, boasting a lavish line up of famous DJs beloved for their sultry take on summer dance music. From midday till the wee hours of the morning, this shamelessly chic beachside venue celebrated the end of the summer season with a party packed with beautiful people, exotic cocktails, naughty nibbles and ludicrously attractive tattooed waiting staff.

Monarch, the scheduled leisure airline, operates flights to Ibiza from Birmingham, London Gatwick and Manchester airports during the summer season with fares, including taxes, starting from £39 on way (100 return).
