Who knew fish could be so sexy? London’s obsession with sushi and sashimi has reached a whole new level with Mayfair’s sultry Sexy Fish, owned by the iconic restaurant group, Caprice Holdings – responsible for the beloved Le Caprice, J Sheekey and The Ivy.

This 190 cover, boldly decadent venue boasts eye-wateringly expensive artwork by Damien Hurst and opulent marble floors shipped in from Iran. Sexy Fish is a place to people watch and to be seen in all your unapologetically flamboyant glory. Go with your most glamorous friends, chicest outfit and highest heels (or shiniest brogues).

The food is perfect for raw fish aficionados – certain dishes such as the Sea Bass Tiradito – drenched in yuzu lemon, Gochujang Miso and baby coriander, are outstanding and will have you mentally pencilling in your next visit. Other pleasing to the palate offerings such as the Tartare of Yellow Fin Tuna accompanied by soy cured egg and lotus chips will satiate even the fussiest taste buds.

Sexy Fish serves a diverse range of Asian seafood, including a selection of tempting meat dishes such as moreish Chicken Wings seasoned in Sancho salt, Maple Glazed Pork Belly and a hefty bone-in Rib Eye Steak, which arrives lavishly at the table with a luxurious black truffle, wasabi and ponzu dressing.

The chefs of this popular London eatery have ensured they cater to a plethora of tastes by offering an array of different dishes in various categories – from sexy salads to sticky charcoal grilled dishes that you won’t want to share.

Puddings are a joyous love affair of exotic spice and fruits. The Cinnamon Doughnuts served with rich chocolate sauce and a tangy citrus curd will evoke hidden gluttonous desires, whilst the Seasonal Fresh Fruit selection appeals to ethereal diners faithful to their detox pledges.

With an unyielding celebrity clientele frequenting the restaurant on a regular basis, you may have to slink in past a couple of rouge paparazzi waiting outside, but the ambiance and the food make this a very minor inconvenience.

Wander downstairs and you will discover the unique Coral Reef Room, featuring two of the largest live coral reef tanks in the world, swarming with a varied and colourful selection of exotic fish from all over the globe.

The ‘Haute Couture’ cocktails at Sexy Fish continue to highlight the sartorial theme of the restaurant and are best drunk with exciting people at the continually bustling bar. We are particularly fond of the Son of Gibraltar – a floral medley of dry gin, strawberry, jasmin, bergamot, yuzu and peach bitters.

Go on, let yourself be seduced by Sexy Fish…
