Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas

As a holder of three Forbes Five Star Awards, and more recently the winner of TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice awards, the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas certainly doesn’t fall short of it’s accolades.

Considered to be one of the greatest hotels in the world, the Mandarin Oriental is perfectly situated at the heart of The Strip; boasting views of both the city and the desert, providing a perfect stay for honeymooning couples, business travellers, and families alike.

The staff at the Mandarin go above and beyond to cater to the needs of it’s guests with impeccably high standards, and have played host to a number of famous faces including the likes of Lucy Lui.

However, what is perhaps one of the hotel’s most distinguishing features are it’s impressive interiors comprising a range of fine art inspired by the orient, the decadence of which is carried through to it’s 392 rooms and suites – with even the most ‘basic’ room spanning more than 500 square feet.

The Mandarin’s two restaurants are cited as some of the best in Las Vegas. It’s signature eatery Twist by Pierre first opened in 2009, and is in fact the only place in the US where Pierre’s three-Michelin star cuisine can be experienced.

The menu at Twist sees classic French technique combined with modern techniques, and offers it’s diners the opportunity to eat some of the finest food in Las Vegas from the dizzy heights of the 23rd floor; providing the perfect panoramic cityscape to savour over dinner.

Mandarin’s second restaurant Mozen Bistro, serves contemporary Asian cuisine alongside a delectable selection of American classics.

In addition to it’s restaurants, the hotel also houses Mandarin Bar serving late night cocktails and tapas, the Tea Room which serves daily afternoon tea, and the latest edition of a casual poolside hangout The Pool Cafe, which offers cool sorbets and fresh lobster to it’s sun kissed guests.
