Truffle Burger: The most decadent DIY meal kit you need to try

The country reopened its doors at the weekend allowing the public back out to enjoy drinks in the pub, meals in restaurants and to FINALLY get a haircut! During lockdown a lot of restaurants and pubs had to get innovative, creating meal kits and takeaway pints, and the DIY burger kit was definitely one of the most Instragrammable. If you haven’t already done so, then one of the DIY burger meals kits you really, really need to try at home is from Seven Dials Market trader Truffle.

There are four options to choose from:

  • The Truffle Burger – Beef and Bacon Patty, Raclette Cheese, Truffle Mayo, Crispy Onions & Fig Jam
  • The Aged Beef Burger – Beef Patty, Smoked Cheese, Garlic Truffle Sauce, Shallot Puree & Pickles
  • The Beef Cheeseburger – Beef Patty, Smoked Cheese, Ketchup & Truffle Mustard
  • The Veggie Truffle Burger (V) – Beyond Meat Patty, Smoked Cheese, Truffle Mayonnaise, Crispy Onions & Fig Jam

I tried the signature Truffle Burger and was genuinely blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the combination of flavours. The beef-bacon patty is seriously good, while the fig jam and truffle mayo is an amazing combination. Finished off with crispy onions, which adds that little bit of tasty crunch with the melted raclette cheese and I guarantee you’ll be rolling your eyes in satisfaction and mmm-ing your way through every bite. I kid you not, I was upset when it was finished because I could’ve had more!

Each kit makes four burgers and at £25 I think that’s incredible value for the most decadent DIY burgers you’ll have delivered to you. Inside the M25 delivery is £5, nationwide it’s £8.

Sides include Truffle and Parmesan Chips, Triple Cooked Chips with Truffle Oil and Parmesan Cheese, Mac & Cheese, and even beer!
