W London goes vegan

W London has boldly decided to go completely vegan with its newest food menu – part of its Dining Series collaborations. The latest pop-up has had its vegan menu created by British chef, Ravinder Bhogal who says its an homage to her niece who became vegan two years ago. “My niece and I have a very tight bond – she even gave me away at my wedding!” explains Ravinder. “When she became vegan, it made it necessary for me to think about a different way of cooking. I suppose this menu is a love letter to Avneet.”

The love letter is served in the hotel’s swanky bar and lounge, The Perception. The cauliflower popcorn is the most popular starter and it’s no surprise why. It’s tasty, has the right level of crunch and a little kick from the black vinegar and chilli dip. The beetroot and walnut kibbeh is almost delicious.

The sweet potato, pumpkin and cashew nut curry for the main is lovely, not too rich. Don’t be fooled non-vegans, you will feel full! If you have room, try the saffron, mango and passion fruit ‘cheesecake’.

W London will be hosting the vegan menu until the end of June.
