The Ivy Tower Bridge – providing the feel-good factor

Last month, The Ivy Tower Bridge announced its collaboration with Busk In
London; an initiative supported by the Mayor of London that is designed to
encourage and champion street performance, in partnership with Slingsby Gin, the award-winning spirit made with the finest natural and locally sourced ingredients.
To celebrate this collaboration, the venue is hosting a series of live gigs from talented Busk In London musicians until Summer 2019. The first set of performances are taking on a festive theme, helping guests get in the Christmas spirit.

The first performance in the series was by Sherika Sherard, a personal favourite of British singer and songwriter, Seal! Following this, guests including myself enjoy an energetic performance by the critically acclaimed, indie pop artist, Natalie Shay – recipient of the ‘Best Undiscovered Talent’ London Music Award.

Other performers include other award-winning singers, such as multi- instrumentalist Hattie Briggs whose penchant is for telling stories of emotion and impulse.

Ensuring diners can unwind in style, Slingsby Gin and The Ivy Tower Bridge’s bar team have concocted a series of bespoke, festive cocktails, available until Friday 30th December. These limited-edition cocktails include The Gooseberry Fizz, a combination of Slingsby Gooseberry Gin and cinnamon syrup topped with a generous serving of Prosecco, whilst the Rhubarb & Plum Flip blends Slingsby’s Rhubarb gin with lemon juice and a plum foam for a fruity treat. The delicious Tower Bridge Fog, meanwhile, sees Slingsby’s classic London Dry gin mixed with Baileys, almond milk infused with vanilla, honey and cinnamon – the ideal winter warmer, take it from me.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kate Jones, Programme Director, Busk in London says: “Busk in London is delighted to work with The Ivy Tower Bridge and Slingsby Gin and present some truly fantastic performers in a sumptuous setting. Fabulous food, creative cocktails and magical music – what an irresistible combination!”

Nicholas Garcia, General Manager at The Ivy Tower Bridge, says: “We are thrilled to partner with Busk in London and Slingsby Gin, in support of the abundance of incredibly talented street performers here in London. We’re looking forward to hosting each performer in the restaurant during the build up to Christmas.”

The Ivy Tower Bridge’s all-encompassing menus will be able to be enjoyed throughout the
performances while taking in the gorgeous river views through floor to ceiling glass windows, or outside on the alfresco terrace, which seats 50 and directly overlooks the River Thames. To enjoy the talents of Busk In London’s street performers along with a sumptuous dining experience at The Ivy Tower Bridge, simply make a table reservation as no tickets are required. The Ivy Tower Bridge, Slingsby Gin and Busk In London will announce talent confirmed for the April and Summer performances shortly.
