Rosa’s Thai opens at Westfield White City

Who doesn’t like devouring a divine Thai feast after a busy day shopping? Nestled within the bustling hub of eateries at Westfield White City, Rosa’s Thai has emerged as a beacon of vibrant culinary delight, bringing the tantalising flavours of Thailand to eager palates. As I stepped into the newly opened restaurant, I was greeted by an ambiance that seamlessly blended modern chic with traditional Thai elements, setting the stage for a gastronomic adventure.

The menu, an eclectic symphony of Thai classics and innovative creations, beckoned me with promises of aromatic spices and bold flavours. 9 months pregnant and craving anything with a kick, I couldn’t help but be enticed by the prospect of indulging in dishes like the fiery spicy drunken noodles, the refreshing ‘som tum’ papaya salad, and the timeless favourite, pad Thai. However, what truly piqued my interest was Rosa’s dedication to embracing culinary trends, as evidenced by their celebration of plant based dishes..

In line with the growing demand for vegan options, Rosa’s Thai introduced a special dish featuring Tom Yum fried rice, incorporating Fable pulled shiitake mushrooms—a flavourful meat alternative that seamlessly mimics the texture and taste of its animal-derived counterpart. This innovative addition to the menu demonstrated Rosa’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that all diners could partake in the feast of Thai cuisine without compromise.

I eagerly sampled the pulled shiitake pad kra prow and pulled shiitake pad Thai, both of which surpassed my expectations with their rich umami flavors and satisfying textures. It was a refreshing departure from the typical meat-centric offerings, showcasing Rosa’s ability to adapt traditional recipes to cater to the evolving preferences of modern diners. Being a meat-lover at heart I couldn’t help but also devour Rosa’s famous beef massaman curry which as always didn’t disappoint with its intense flavour profile.

Complementing the delectable fare were Rosa’s Thai-inspired cocktails, tantalising concoctions that blended premium spirits with exotic Thai ingredients. From the zesty Lemongrass Collins to the aromatic Thai Basil Smash, each sip transported my dining partner to the bustling streets of Bangkok, evoking a sense of wanderlust and culinary discovery.

For those like me seeking a non-alcoholic alternative, Rosa’s signature range of bubble teas provided a refreshing respite from the fiery spices, with options ranging from classic Thai milk tea to innovative fruit-infused blends. It was evident that every aspect of the dining experience had been meticulously curated to immerse guests in the rich tapestry of Thai culture and cuisine.

Beyond the culinary delights, Rosa’s Thai at Westfield White City exuded an aura of warmth and hospitality, with attentive staff members who were passionate about sharing their love for Thai food. Whether it was recommending the perfect dish or accommodating dietary restrictions with ease, the team at Rosa’s exemplified the true essence of Thai hospitality, making each diner feel like a cherished guest in their home.

As I savoured the final bites of my meal, I couldn’t help but reflect on the culinary journey that Rosa’s Thai had taken me on—a journey filled with bold flavours, innovative twists, and heartfelt hospitality. In an age where authenticity is often sacrificed for the sake of trends, Rosa’s Thai stood as a shining example of culinary excellence, staying true to its traditional roots, while embracing the future with open arms.
