New year, new complexion with the Tixel hot glow at Imperial Aesthetics

This isn’t just any new year, this is the blessed year we say a massive goodbye (or sod off) to the soul-destroying, mind-boggling year of 2020.

What better way to start a new, promising year than giving yourself the gift of a revitalised new complexion?

I was lucky enough to trial the renowned Tixel Hot Glow treatment at Harley Street’s esteemed Imperial Aesthetics shortly before lockdown and I am delighted with the results.

The non invasive treatment uses advanced fractional thermo-mechanical energy to improve the skin’s tone and texture in as little as 5 minutes and is perfect for anyone wanting to revive dull, tired complexions after the meh of recent months.

Dr Daniel Hunt (BSc, MBBS) – the friendly founder and director of Imperial Aesthetics explained that the clever Tixel machine has treatment options to help with skin rejuvenation, active acne and scarring, eyelid lifting, rosacea, melasma, pigmentation, stretch marks and large pores.

He elaborated further, “Our Hot Glow Facelift Tixel Treatment is the perfect non-invasive solution. It’s suitable for both men and women of all ages who are looking to lift, sculpt and redefine their facial features with subtle, natural results.”

The treatment is also ideal for helping to banish those pesky facial wrinkles and crows feet, making it and ideal alternative to botox or other more invasive procedures.

Unlike similar aesthetic procedures utilising lasers, the Tixel machine uses gentle heat to  naturally boost collagen resulting in a significant improvement in skin tone and texture.

As I lay down on the comfortable treatment bed and the treatment began, I felt a warm sensation where the Tixel pen was being stamped over my skin.

In just over 10 minutes, my treatment was complete and I had a pleasant warm glow to my complexion – almost like a subtle sunburned effect.

I even went to dinner straight after my appointment with my girlfriend who commented on how vibrant my skin looked – foundation was not even needed.

The next day I noticed tiny scab marks where the needle stamps had entered my skin but this was easily covered by a good concealer and lasted a couple of days only.

After a week I noticed my complexion was brighter, more refined and more vibrant. Foundation glided on effortlessly and my pores seemed smaller – perfect for lifting my spirits during the challenging times of today.

A course of treatment is recommended for optimum results  and can be booked for when the clinic opens after lockdown.

Get ready to put your best face forward this year and turn down those airbrush settings on your Insta photos with Tixel – I’m already excited about my next treatment.
