Sublimity finds a new name at Eden Hall Spa, peacefully nestled in the lush verdure of Nottinghamshire. This is more than a spa; it is a sanctuary, a haven of tranquillity that transcends time and niggling daily worries. And it now comes with an enchanting  new addition: an outdoor spa garden that is every bit as delightful as it sounds.

There was a palpable sense of anticipation as my spa-loving friend and I traversed the manicured landscapes leading to Eden Hall Spa. We’d heard of the new spa garden, an oasis of peace that promised an enticingly unique experience. As we ventured into this Eden, we were not disappointed. The heated outdoor spa pool, the crowning jewel of the garden, was an immersive indulgence for all senses. Soft whispers of steam, rising lazily from the heated azure waters, embraced the cool English air, inviting us to bathe our worries away.

This peaceful new spa garden also boasted a Reflect and Relax Room for quiet moments of bliss and a chic outdoor sauna and fire pit – perfect for sipping your favourite smoothies (or naughty cocktails) in front of.

After a brief period of relaxation, we were ushered into a world of spa treatments that challenged our notion of bliss.  My friend chose the Elemis Pro Glow resurfacing facial –  a symphony of skin-smoothing exfoliation and deep hydration that she later described as ‘massively relaxing’. I opted for the Voya Sea Soothers Facial – a deeply nourishing natural facial treatment using the finest seaweed from the seas of Ireland.

We then made our way to lunch in one of Eden Hall’s elegant dining rooms. Our mid-day repast was a feast not only for the stomach but also for the eyes. The healthy lunch, a melange of fresh, local ingredients, was a testament to their commitment to wellness. Bursting with vibrant colours, the dishes were as pleasing to the eye as they were to the palate. My friend, a vegetarian, had a plethora of options that were delicious, nutritious, and creatively crafted. I particularly enjoyed the grilled mackerel, delicately flavoured and perfectly complemented by a potato and caper salad. My main of sticky honey chicken was also a delight to my tastebuds.

We finished our meal by indulging in a decadent cheese platter and a caramelised creme brulee served pleasingly with a lime and ginger biscotti.

Eden Hall Spa has managed to strike the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, cocooning us in its timeless charm while simultaneously dazzling us with its modern luxuries. The new spa garden is a splendid testament to this balance. The amalgamation of natural beauty, warm water therapy, and deliciously nutritious meals is undeniably enchanting, and the invigorating treatments are the perfect finishing touch to a day spent in this paradise.
