Spinnaker Fleuss Automatic Marlborough Limited Edition

Introducing the Fleuss Automatic Marlborough Limited Edition, a new addition to Spinnaker Watches’ Fleuss collection which pays tribute to Henry Fleuss, a celebrated diving pioneer. Spinnaker Watches pay tribute to Fleuss for his contribution to the advancement of diving technology. Whilst working at sea, Fleuss realised the need for more advanced equipment as he saw his team expend great amounts of effort and time with cumbersome equipment. In 1878, Fleuss conceptualised the cutting-edge equipment, known today as the David Submarine Escape Apparatus, that both compressed oxygen and absorbed carbon dioxide thus freeing the diver from external support. Fleuss’ invention paved the way in World War II maritime warfare and is widely recognised as the first practical closed-circuit breathing apparatus. This limited edition timepiece is available in two colourways, with 250 pieces per model.
