Owned by the fun loving, Ibiza born and bred Mambo brothers, Cafe Mambo is often hailed as the new Cafe del Mar and the ultimate Ibiza sunset, pre-clubbing venue. Famous for its epic house sets from world class DJs such as Carl Cox, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, this scenic gem is frequented by beautiful people in the know, who come to watch exquisite sunsets as they tuck into protein-laden salads, down copious amounts of cocktails and shake their tanned booties to uplifting house before they make their way to a club to party till the wee hours.

STK Ibiza

Fuel up

Skirt-Steak-Sliced-full-view The Metropolist's essential guide to Ibiza

The über trendy steak restaurant chain STK just opened a glitzy new venue a couple of months ago in Marina Botafoch (try saying that after a few drinks) to tempt party-goers with a tasty T Bone or a sizzling sirloin before a lengthy night on the razz.

Perfect for getting you in the raving mood, the venue is packed to the rafters with a ravishingly glam clientele and an in-house DJ spinning the latest hits – with a few cheesy numbers thrown in for the sake of nostalgia. Mixologists are always on hand, and if you’re lucky you’ll have the pleasure of witnessing the whimsically dressed cabaret performers strutting their stuff through the restaurant.

If you like your accommodation with an extra side of Oh Yeeeeeeah, opt for a room at Sol House, just off the sandy shores of Punta Pinet beach. The hotel has very recently collaborated with the booty-shaking Ibiza Rocks brand for Summer 2016, meaning that lucky guests get free entry to all three of the Ibiza Rocks events, including the infamous Craig David TS5 pool party and the We are Rockstars night, featuring a plethora of talented underground UK acts.

The rooftop bar, with its mesmerising infinity pool, is the perfect place for sunset drinks before nomming yourself into oblivion at their Food Factory restaurant. Rooms are spacious, stylish and minimalist, with many boasting striking sea views.

Every day, as the sun goes down, Sol Sets Cocktail Club kicks off from 7pm to midnight at Rooftop Nine – the hotel’s sassy rooftop bar. Guests can chill out to the sounds of resident DJ’s providing a sunset soundtrack alongside live acoustic performers.

To mark the end of the summer season, Sol House’s rooftop bar will also host the History of House party on Thursday 29th September, looking back through classic house moments with live guest PA’s performing seminal house anthems, featuring Rocks favourite resident DJs and island heroes.

Following a full refurbishment, Sol House Mixed by Ibiza Rocks is “The” new hotspot on the island. Chic Ibiza Villas

Splash out on a villa for group getaways

skyfall-1 The Metropolist's essential guide to Ibiza

If you’re travelling to the majestic isle with a big bunch of boisterous buddies, the best form of accommodation is a massive villa situated in the perfect location – complete with your very own private pool so you can partake in group water bombing activities without annoying fellow holiday goers.

Chic Ibiza Villas has oodles of slick properties dotted around the island with different levels of luxuriousness – sleeping from four to 30 people, so you’re bound to find one that suits your budget and the tastes of your party posse.

We’re particularly fond of Skyfall – the badass urban style villa with giant buddhas in the lounge, brushed grey concrete bathrooms and al fresco chillout pavilions with plush day beds. Casa Celeste is also a winner – sporting a decadent pool area, traditional Spanish bedrooms that sleep up to 14 people and a convenient location close to Ibiza Town.

Monarch, the scheduled leisure airline, operates flights to Ibiza from Birmingham, London Gatwick and Manchester airports during the summer season with fares, including taxes, starting from £39 one way (£100 return)
