I recently visited Aphrodite Hills Resort on Cyprus’ southwest coast for the launch of its newly renovated Racquet Club. While the new facility was the focus of the trip, it quickly became clear that it forms just one part of a much broader resort experience. It was also my first time visiting Cyprus, and I couldn’t have been more blown away by my stay.
Spread across approximately 234 hectares between Paphos and Limassol, Aphrodite Hills combines sport, wellness, dining and leisure within a single destination. Whether guests are travelling as a family, a couple, with friends or on their own, the resort offers a variety of experiences that allow them to tailor their stay to their own interests.
As the sun began to set over the courts, guests gathered to celebrate the unveiling of the newly transformed Racquet Club. With a DJ, drinks and the opportunity to explore the new facilities, the launch offered an introduction to the resort’s latest investment.

The club itself has undergone a significant transformation. Tennis players can enjoy four upgraded European red clay courts alongside five Plexicushion hard courts, while padel enthusiasts benefit from three renovated courts with new Mondo turf. The addition of the Healthy Bar creates a space where guests can refuel after a game, meet friends or simply enjoy a healthier dining option during their stay.
Yet what impressed me most was that the experience extends well beyond the courts.
During my visit, I explored the resort’s wider facilities, including its spa, fitness offering, golf course and restaurants. What Aphrodite Hills does particularly well is provide guests with choice. One person may spend their day on the golf course, while another chooses the spa, the pool or one of the many other activities available across the resort.
Golf remains one of Aphrodite Hills’ defining attractions. Designed by acclaimed architect Cabell B. Robinson, the 18-hole championship course stretches across two plateaus, divided by a natural canyon, with views across the surrounding landscape and Mediterranean.

As a first-time golfer and padel player, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient and encouraging, making both sports accessible and enjoyable from the outset. I left with plenty of tips, a genuine appreciation for both sports and memories I’ll treasure for years to come.
Dining also proved to be a highlight of the visit. Our first evening took us to Nusan, the resort’s Asian fusion restaurant inspired by the cuisines of Japan and Southeast Asia. It was also where we met a couple who had just become engaged, which felt particularly fitting given the setting. Aphrodite Hills is also home to its own chapel and hosts weddings across the resort, making it a destination for celebrations as much as holidays.
From evening dining to relaxed lunches, the quality was consistently impressive throughout my stay. We also enjoyed afternoon tea at the Amelia Lounge, with tea, cakes, pastries and a beautifully presented selection of sweet and savoury treats.

What sets Aphrodite Hills apart is the breadth of experiences available within a single resort. Guests can be as active or as relaxed as they choose, moving between sport, wellness, dining and leisure at their own pace.
The launch of the new Racquet Club may have been the reason for my visit, but it was the wider resort experience that left the lasting impression. From golf and padel to wellness, dining and relaxation, Aphrodite Hills offers guests the freedom to shape their stay around whatever they enjoy most. It was certainly a moment I will carry with me for a lifetime, and the perfect destination for anyone looking to combine sport, wellbeing and luxury in one unforgettable experience.
