Lose yourself at Lost Village Festival

This Bank holiday weekend, from the 27th to the 29th May, the truly enigmatic Lost Village festival returns for its second year, taking place in an enchanted forest nestled within the leafy depths of lush Lincolnshire – only a speedy 74min direct train from London’s King’s Cross.

The international musical legend that is Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, will be headlining on the opening night, whilst other hedonistic headliners include indie pop singing maverick and BBC’s Sound of 2016 winner Jack Garratt, everyone’s favourite musical neuroscientist Floating Points as well as world class DJs: Mano Le Tough, Eats Everything and Ben Klock, amongst many others.

After the epic success of last year’s sprightly shindig, thousands of excitable revellers will flock to the festivals’ numerous musical areas to indulge in some much needed escapism after weeks of humdrum monotony and mood depleting moments of meh. Devotees of house, disco, indie, techno, funk, soul and hip hop will rejoice in the feisty Forgotten Cabin, enticingly eerie Abandoned Chapel and splendidly spooky Burial Ground as they sway their endorphin-pumped bodies to their favourite DJ sets and artist performances – which also include Midland, John Talabot, Tom Trago, Tom Misch, Mabel, Loyle Carner, SG Lewis, DJ Koze, Horse Meat Disco, Norman Jay MBE and Craig Charles across various woodland stages.

So much more than just another music festival, this surreal soiree will also feature alluring amenities such as the vintage clothing-abundant Basecamp Market Town, the secret performance hosting Lost Theatre and the Lake of Tranquillity Spa – complete with wood-fired hot tubs, a Finnish sauna, Indian head massages, holistic therapy and yoga classes – perfect for soothing over partied, pamper-loving souls.

Founded by Jaymo & Andy George, who also run the renowned Moda Black record label, Lost Village is a magical celebration of diverse musical talent, fine food, creatively adorned beautiful people and general merriment. Andy recently commented, “Last year was fantastic, but we were really just seeing if people responded well – thankfully they did and so this year is the start of us really unleashing what Lost Village is all about.”

“The location, the line-up, the immersive experience, the food, the entertainment, the whole aesthetic and ambience – we haven’t compromised on anything. A lot of people commented that last year’s event felt like a surreal dream because of all the weird things that happened… well, this year is gonna be another level.”

Fine food fanatics will not be disappointed for the festival is planning a four course woodland feast known as The Tribal Banquet – courtesy of the Michelin-starred Michael O’ Hare and acclaimed chef Lee Wescott. This gastronomic gathering with include generous servings of wine and an aperitif cocktail to get you in the mood for further festival frivolities.

Gourmet food from beloved London eateries The Breakfast Club, Popdogs and Voodoo Ray’s will also be on offer as well as ice cold craft beer.

So, dust off your most fabulous festival ensemble and get ready for a weekend guaranteed to ignite a multitude of fervent passions and create multicoloured, deliriously hazy memories you’ll cherish forever.

Well, at least until next year’s shenanigans…
