Presented by Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair returns to The Truman Brewery this October, bringing more than 135 independent artists to London alongside contemporary photography, emerging talent, music and a touch of 90s Ibiza.
For four days this October, The Truman Brewery will once again become a meeting point for artists and art lovers as The Other Art Fair returns to the capital.
Running from 8–11 October 2026, the London edition brings together more than 135 independent artists, with work spanning a variety of mediums and price points. Almost 80 per cent of those exhibiting are UK-based, offering a broad snapshot of the independent art scene.
At the heart of the fair is the opportunity to discover and buy work directly from the artists themselves. Alongside the art, this year’s programme moves into photography, music and live creative experiences, making the four-day event as much about encountering contemporary culture a exploring what might deserve a place on your wall.
Discovering new names
Among those making their debut at the London fair this year are four artists with distinctly different approaches.
London-based Holly Garbett, who was born in Birmingham, looks to family photographs for inspiration, translating memories into expressive oil paintings that explore love, loss and longing.
Courtney Bae, a Korean-American painter based in London, works across portraiture, figurative painting and landscape. Her practice explores trauma, resilience and identity through expressive mark-making balanced with moments of whimsy.
For Danielle Verbeeten, precision takes centre stage. Her hyperrealistic pastel works capture light, form and fleeting moments in striking detail, informed in part by her background in industrial design and experience as a Lego designer in Denmark. Her work was shortlisted for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year in 2024, and she has previously exhibited at London’s Mall Galleries.
Meanwhile, Emmanuelle Walker finds inspiration in everyday scenes and fragments of light. Through grids, repetition and structural constraints, she reorganises what she sees into paintings that move between recognition and abstraction.
Amelia Troubridge’s England
Photography will also have a significant presence this October, with celebrated British photographer Amelia Troubridge joining as the fair’s 2026 Guest Artist.
Troubridge will present a series of works from her England archive, spanning 1995 to 2023. Portraits of Steve Coogan, Nick Cave and Olivia Colman will feature alongside images drawn from almost three decades spent photographing British culture and society.
The photographer is the author of eight solo publications, including Dublin Urban Cowboys, Trouble with Amelia and Joan of Arc Had Style, while her work has been exhibited at venues including The Design Museum and The Photographers’ Gallery.
Troubridge will be at the fair throughout the weekend, offering visitors the opportunity to meet her and discover more about the people, places and moments behind the photographs.
From art fair to Ibiza
Friday evening brings a different energy to The Truman Brewery as Manumission takes over the fair’s Friday Lates programme.
The legendary Ibiza institution will bring together music, DJs and conversation, including a dedicated discussion around its new book, The Motel. It adds a distinctly 90s flavour to an edition that includes several nods to the decade.
The music continues on Saturday with London-based collective Club Lune Bleue, which will curate a line-up of resident DJs and special guests. The collective champions women DJs and producers while bringing a diverse range of electronic sounds to the fair.
Elsewhere, visitors can leave with something rather more personal. Luke, The Other Art Fair’s resident typewriter poet, will be stationed at the bar, inviting visitors to give him a subject, from love and pets to whatever happens to be occupying their thoughts, before transforming it into an original poem typed on the spot.
Creative Corner also returns, giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to respond to a series of creative prompts, add their work to an evolving display or simply take their creation home.
The next chapter
The fair is also making space for artists at the very beginning of their careers through its New Futures programme.
For the October edition, The Other Art Fair has partnered with Central Saint Martins College of Art to showcase two recent graduates: Kitty Jenkins and Rajesh Bhovan.
MA graduate Jenkins explores identity, representation and the human figure through fragmented and reconstructed imagery. Her recent work draws upon mythology, folklore and horror to examine ideas surrounding the female form, femininity and transformation.
BA graduate Bhovan looks instead to the worlds of old Hollywood and Bollywood. As a British South Asian artist, his painting practice examines the connections between cinema, colour, celebrity and worship, considering the relationship between spectatorship, reverence and commodification.
Starting an art collection
For those interested in buying rather than simply browsing, the popular Under £300 Collection returns for October.
The specially curated selection brings together original works priced at £300 or less, all created by artists exhibiting at the fair. It offers an approachable entry point for those considering their first purchase, as well as another way for existing collectors to discover new work.
That accessibility is an important part of The Other Art Fair’s identity. Since launching in 2011, the fair has worked with more than 3,000 artists from over 20 countries and has expanded beyond London to cities across the United States, including Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix and Dallas.
Yet the London edition retains something particularly appealing: the chance to encounter more than 135 independent artists under one roof and, crucially, meet the people behind the work.
